Have A Magical Snow Day In The Kitchen
When it’s cold outside it’s a great time to get the kids in the kitchen. They can make a snowy snack craft or practice their kitchen skills with a recipe. Here are a few fruit- and veggie-packed ideas to get started on your next magical snow day!
Breakfast
Snowy snack crafts are the perfect way to get the kids in the kitchen.
Polar bear toast
- Toast a piece of bread.
- Spread on whipped cream cheese.
- Cut up 3 pieces of banana. Place 2 at the top of the toast as the ears. Place one in the center of the toast for the nose.
- Place on 2 blueberries as the eyes and 1 on top of the center banana.
Snack
Great pick me up after building a snowman or sledding!
Snowy trail mix
- Mix popcorn, yogurt covered raisins, pretzels, and dried blueberries.
Snowy citrus yogurt parfait
- Layer in a cup vanilla Greek yogurt, cut up oranges, whipped topping and top with unsweetened coconut flakes.
Dinner
Warm up with a produce packed grilled cheese!
